I'm still researching headers for my '67 Chevelle L78 Engine Build. For the dyno, and to stay as close as possible to my old M/T SS Headers 50+ years ago, I have been comparing the primary tubing layout of the Hooker Competition Headers with the photo of my orange M/T Headers (above) before I installed them. They are amazingly similar, especially on the driver side. Oh, the M/T's were so simple (thanks to the long collector with staggered lengths of primaries entering the large collector). If only someone still made accurate Super Scavenger Headers today!

Any thoughts on the Hooker 2455HKR Competition Headers? 2" primaries with 3.5" Collector dia. (just like on the M/T Headers). They are relatively inexpensive at $263.95 from Summit. I prefer the painted version, as I have an outstanding high temp header paint in satin black that I want to use. I'm just concerned about fitment. My M/T's fit like a glove (even back way before cadd design)! You'd think header manufacturers would have it together by now, thus avoiding install issues. Any input appreciated. Thanks guys!
