That was a two pedal, but then again so was that 10th. Shades of 07 BJ and less than asute buyers with more skrilla than sense?. I mean really, who on here would have paid that kind of coin for those cars?. And to the argument gen X'ers are the buying influence now, there are only a few years spread between real period muscle and these. Think it's just a couple of bubble cars that caught some serious tailwind. There were some good buys on SD's at Kissimmie..jmho

I love 78 pace car vette a but they don't compare even close to a special edition trans am. I'm sorry.

I'd bet we see ultra low mile 93 Cobra's and 89 Turbo Trans Am's closing in on a hundred grand within the next couple of years, although I could be wrong. I've been saying Fox Bodies are due for a good sized jump for the past three years, but I'd have never guessed it would be an 84 Anni leading the way.

But there is a flip side. There was a 79 Pace car mustang turbo 4 that went off sunday still had the original wheels and aluminum rear drums and it went for like 7k ... It all depends on what time it crosses the block and who wants it bad enough

That car went for 11.5k, which was easily twice what I would have pegged it at. It had serious paint issues, bad panel alignment, incorrectly installed quarter glass, poorly restored and installed side molding, among other things. Plus being a turbo car didn't do it any favors. I'd have called that a 5,000 dollar car, max, so even that instance shows an increase.

Also, don't forget that an 80 Mustang Enduro pulled 40k at Auctions America a couple of months ago.

I didn't even realize that a 1990 1LE IROC brought 50k. Is that a new record for a 3rd gen?

My wifes cousin has that same LX car tucked in a garage under a cover, thinking some day a not butchered up one would be worth money (most are made into drag cars, it has that same notch back end). Its also a 4 or 5 spd. I thought he was nutts. Maybe he is not.
