I've always thought Motion cars could be a bit "over-the-top" (Example: that famous Mexican Ralley Green '69 Camaro), but this black one trimmed in red is a beautiful example of a bad machine. Driving that car in 1969 had to be the equivalent of driving a Lamborghini or similar exotic today. It would take a VERY serious machine back then, short of an all drag car, to give this thing a run for it's money. I know people like to trash talk street racing, but that was the sole purpose of this car. I bet it was good to be the king with this car!

Here is the original ad in Hemmings News in 1981. Thomas Comerro of Hemmings was very helpful in tracking this down. I thought everyone would find it a little amusing in how undescriptive this was.

My uncle ended up buying it for $8500 since that was all he had! Luckily for him and me, it was not listed as a Baldwin Motion camaro.

in 1977, i paid 3,000 for my 69 z-28, and that was top dollar at the time. that was quite an investment in 1981!
