Rick,
Does this pulley have the # stamped in the pulley and "AI"? I can't see it in the photos. We are building a '67 Z28 engine now for a customer and I need some parts including this pulley. Let me know. Thanks, Jerry |

No part number was ever stamped on this pulley at all.
I have seen both type of pulleys as original equipment from the assembly line. More then one manufacturer perhaps? This one came off a Vette. I was tempted to hammer it down,but thought that I would do a terrible job peening it back w/o the proper tools and it would look erratic. I purposely took pictures in direct sunlight to show more details.It looked more defined then the overhead room light,I hope others agree. |

I've had luck taking that type of ding out of steel pulleys by setting them on a wood board with the ding overhanging. Then take a hard piece of wood and set it on the ding and hammer it. The wood won't damage the metal like a hammer. This one might need a bigger hammer.
