In 1971 they added a emblem on the rh side of the trunk spacer. There has never been any documented 4 speed Monte Carlo SS's. There are a handful of big block 402 4 Speeds though. Many of the 402's have been "cloned" to look like SS's. You could even order the "Air Ride" system with non SS cars, and I have seen a few. There has never been any documented LS6 Monte's either. We always here the stories, but none have ever proved out true. Nice cars, and ride great.
