My Friend Joe in downtown Toronto that has an Original Paint Fathom Blue LS6 car (Which i posted in my Facebook Club) also has the cables bolted down like your last photo shows in the exact same location, his car was also built in the Baltimore plant.

I am not sure about the 1/4" size as those would have a lot of play were the cables slide in but it seems the font is exactly the same as the 1/8" size, why would chevrolet use 2 different sizes though, interesting.

I have never seen a rivet to hold the cable though.

The NOS ones that come up are always the 1/8" size.
