Default 69 L78 Pace car survivor

1969 L78 Convertible Pace Car Survivor

Original engine with VIN, Fresh,front stamp decked off of block
VIN on block is perfect
Original CX code T-400 transmission, Fresh and all correct
Original 12 Bolt rear with 3.55 posi, all original GM
All original interior
Original perfect rosewood wheel
Tilt wheel
Power steering and power disc brakes, all brakes rebuilt original castings from this car
Complete working cold air hood
Rebuilt, and restored Smog system, correct date coded by Bill Hodel
No rust in floors or in trunk, very minimal rust in car
original GM markings on pan still there
Car has never been restored and still has all original paint
Car has been stored since 1985
Everything works, Horn, Wipers etc.
Very Rare and original car, car is running and driving
Easy restoration or great survivor car.

Rick, you should buy it and restore it! Looks like a nice original car. How many of these do you think were produced? What would be the value once restored?

The problem is I thought I'd be Mr. Smart Muscle Car Guy and get ahead of the curve a few months back so I bought a number of cars as well as a ton of parts. I've got some real cool stuff but not enough jack.

I tried to trade Roy one of my 69 rollers, a set of 074 heads, a brand new broom + 11.00 for the Pacer but he just wouldn't go for it, what a loser.

Seriously, I've heard production numbers of any where from 100 to 300 L78 Pace Cars, maybe 5+ unrestored?

I've seen a couple of frame off L78's being offered in the 150-170K range

Saw this car at the Houston Autorama this past weekend with a FOR SAlE sign on it. A Survivor that is tired. Would need a complete restoration in my opinon. The block apears to have been decked, so it's questionable.
