LS-6 Torque Converters
Anyone know what the Stall is in a stock LS-6 or L-78 Torque Converter.............

Ken,
It is so odd that you posted this today. I met with the guy that is restoring my CX THM400 and he asked me for the specs on the '69 L/78 ( CX ) torque converter. So I guess I need that information as well.  Steve

It pretty much depends on the torque driving it....
 since I own a torquey Buick, with an L88 convertor, I wouldn't know anything about that

1970 Chevrolet in house engineering results,as well as AMA specs show the maximum ratio at stall to be 2.10,which translates to a 2110 RPM stall speed for the 6 lug L-78/LS-6 convertor.
I find this to be accurate on my Chevelle today.
