"Trans Am hotrod 400" sounds alot like a transplanted replacement motor. I would be very surprised if it's the original motor.

There were no 68 TA's built but I have some 68 Firebird #'s for you.

400 4bar Auto-11,151
400 4bar Manual-7,563

400HO Auto-684
400HO Manual-1,415

400RA1 Auto-93
400RA1 Manual-321

400RA11 Manual-115

These are 68 Firebird Production #'s.

Have Jim Matteson at PHS, Run the Vin. he should be able to give you the scoop on how the car was equipped from the factory. PHS's fees are very reasonable/if not an out right bargin

Sometimes we dont act fast enough on these deals and you end up losing out.I know first hand how that feals.
