[ QUOTE ]
If ya wanna get technical, old Cragars came in Chevy 4 3/4" pattern, not uni-lug like todays

[/ QUOTE ]

Cragars came out in a direct bolt pattern only the first 2 years of production but if you REALLY want to get technical you can check out a 1967 Cragar catalog and see the word "Vari-Lug". Cragars were made in both direct bolt patterns and unilugs(varilugs)in those days. You can tell the early varilugs buy the horsehoe shaped indentation by the lug nut area.

Some young guys do like Day 2. Most of the nostalgia 1923-34 Ford Hot Rods are being built by young guys 20-25 years old.
At Goodguys in Columbus 90% of the nostalgic hot rods built are by guys in that age bracket. I think the 68-74 era street machine trends and Day 2 cars will also be built in the future by guys in that age bracket also.

AHHHHH ya caught me! I will admit and will take the beating for it, that the car is easier on my old bones with them, than with the 775 skinnies and vintage L/60-15's on the rear. I guess I will have to jack the car up again!

CAL CUSTOM BIG-BLOCK VALVE COVERS ARE THE COOLEST! (I have two sets, thank you very much.) M/T's are cool too--got two sets of those too. Nope, not for sale. Those "Motion" SS 427 emblems go for crazy dollars on eBay.

The car belongs to a guy in a town near where I live. Those pics were taken in the late '70's and the car still looks exactly the same. Has not been out of the garage since the early 80's.

Yeah, that Nova would kill today just as it is in the photos. It would be a refreshing diversion from all the nit-picking about matching numbers and originality. Dig that thing out and get it running.

Oh, and thanks guys for the discussion on "Day 2." I really didn't have any idea what it meant but after reading this thread I am definately a Day 2 fan.
