Daytona Blue. I just purchased the car out of an estate (indirectly). Unhit car, OM on the side. Currently has a 70 LT1 short block. One repaint. All of the nice original bits to define and original F.I. car. I believe the mileage on the odometer by the condition of the car as well as some documents from the 80's. I was going to do a post on the car after I really get through it. When I have the title from Wisconsin, I'll order up the shippers report. I've been looking for just a car like this. I'm going to start a restoration thread when I dive in.

Thanks Steve!

Tim

I like the wide wheel look also and have a '62 Satin Silver Vette with the small caps. I have a question....the RPO 276 was a no cost opition (you got the wheels but didn't get the full wheel covers because there were no nubs so I guess the cost balanced out). I get a lot of people wanting to know if my car was a big brake car which it wasn't. The 276 was a stand alone option that was available without the big brakes but were the wide wheels also a part of the big brake package? Other words, could you get a big brake car with regular wheels?

Technically, I believe it was possible. I have not seen one or known of one. I am not a sharp on 53-62 as I am 63-67.

hey tom, I remember your car from vette fest in the past. It is gorgous if memory serves.

I don't think there is a quick answer to your question. This article is my guide on widewheels and bigbrakes. I have a 60 and a 61.
