Here is a M-22 trans vin stamping. I can make out the "N" and a few numbers but am not sure just what it came out of?
You guys love to decode these things so here you go. ![]()

here is a different angle.
I notice that the last pic shows the square edge of the tool that held the stamps. I have had this under the work bench for a lot of years.

71 Camaro 11N55xx44, I'd guess 6 and 8 are the middle digits.
P1A14B - M21, built Jan 14, 1971 Had to be a hipo car, probably a Z, to get an M21.
