Both exterior shots are of the El Camino. The magazine editors probably just used GM P.R. photos for the article.

Unreal indeed. I wonder why the Nova was not listed? Did they do the transplants only when the 396 came out first on the 68, which was mid-year, right?

My dream is to be able to go for a ride in a L-88 equiped car. Boy did Mr Motion put out some wild tickets back in the day.

So I take it no elcamino was ever found to be converted by motion, bummer.

I love these articles, keep them coming please

I does not suprise me that there are none around. Because they are so light in the rear, El Caminos do not hook up near as well as a sedan or Hardtop would and with that kind of horsepower. Therfore every little bit of traction would be precious. Most caminos back then had a wheel hop problem.

That is just what it takes to get traction in a camino.
