Looking for a clutch/fan setup for a 68 396 (L78). The unit has a 3 1/4" bolt center not 3". There are also 4 rivets on the fan blade not 5. The clutch is by Schweitzer.

Very tough indeed. Took me well over a year to find one for the Yenko. Be VERY cautious of the fakes as they are making them using a different fan and enlarging the flange hole and use a similar looking clutch. They look accurate and will work but are not original L78 so you don't want to pay original L78 prices for them which is a LOT.

1969 L78 NOVA never used a fan clutch. The fan is fixed. Sure makes a lot of dust in the engine compartment compared to a clutched one. Has anyone else noticed this. My l78 is a 70 ,but the fan is the same. John

John...don't know about the dust...but those 5 blade steel fans sure make some noise when they get up over 3,000 rpm's....that's one of the reasons they were ditched way back when.

*69 and 70 L34/L78 both used the same 5 blade fan blade. wilma
