Default '66 Chevelle Decode

Stopped to put air in my tires this morning on my way to work. The station sent me around back to the pay-for-air station and there sat a '66 Chevelle No engine or trans, missing the front clip 'cept for the passenger side fender. Didn't really think twice about it till I saw the fender emblem; "396 Turbo Jet". So, I wrote down the TT info, maybe somebody can decode?

04A 758
66 13817 BAL 4030
763 K2

I checked for the VIN, but it was not visible through the windshield - is it on the door pillar?

PS: Had a 12 bolt rear from what I could see, but the gas tank had fallen to the ground and blocked my view!!

The '13817' on the TT indicates that it is an SS396. Yes, the VIN tag would (or should ) be in the drivers side door front pillar. I'll leave the '763 K2' to someone who has reference material handy.

Thanks, It has remnants of a VT as well. The car is in poor condition, dark blue, black hat.

Nope

There's a convertible there too, no top though - just a piece of plywood thrown over it Finally, there's a '69 Chevelle there, SS hood, malibu emblems but 307 marker lights

I'm no expert on these but besides the obvious 138 and build etc. from what I spot, the K is Artesian Turquoise, the 2 should be a top reference but ???...probably black, the 763 is Black Buckets? .

Even for the sake of the 12 bolt only, did you quiz anyone on 'that old POS car out back' being available?

And the '69 Copo Chevelle w/ the 'race bait' 307 call outs...may as well put the grab on that POS too? .
