Check out these two different NOS trunk weatherstrips that recently sold on ebay.
First one: part number 1-3060942 Auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...A%3AIT&rd=1 Next one: part number 9825829 Auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...A%3AIT&rd=1 Hope the links work. I beleive the second one is the real original weatherstrip, same as they left the factory with, and that the first one is a later, more generic replacement. Not sure what the difference is between the two though. I have a roll of the second one, part number 9829829, that is long enough to do two Camaros. It has several markings molded into it. Has 8436 molded in several places. Has an upper case "K" molded in several places, has "1-6" in one place and "1-27" in another place. Also has an odd symbol that looks like a cross between a "B" and a "D" on its side. First question: anyone know what the symbols are for? Even thought the same part number as auction 2, the molded in symbols are different. Second: Am I correct in my assumption that this one (9825829) is the original issue? I have had it since the 70's. I see auctions for "NOS" trunk weatherstrip from time to time but this is the first one I have seen with that part number. Thanks for any help. Lynn |
