3946052(3); 4 BOLT MAIN; WINTERS Question on the (3) does that mean the block could be either 052 or 053 or that there were only 3 made???

052 is the original 1969 ZL1 aluminum engine. 053 is the 1997 ZL1 aluminum version. Mortec.com has a complete listing for all engine and head casting numbers. Aloha

Mahalo for the clarification on the 052/053 numbers. also what would one be worth that has been sitting in the mudd and dirt for 22+ years. has pistons and crank. No heads

If it's an original 1969 ZL1 block (casting number ending in 052), it's worth alot. Ed Cunneen would be the man that could verify it's authenticity (think that's spelled right). Aloha
