OK, all you Original 1970 Survivor "Kansas Built" Chevelle owners and "Atlanta Built" Chevelle owners.
Doing a Jack Comparison.... I believe I have a complete 1970 Chevelle "Kansas Built" Hollow Shaft Jack and a complete 1970 Chevelle "Atlanta Built" T-Shaft Jack, minus the repop Wing Nut and repop Hook. I spoke with Rick Nelson today, Rick said he has never seen a T-Shaft Jack in a "Kansas Built" 1970 Chevelle. I believe this to be true. Question: Are all the "Atlanta Built" 1970 Chevelle`s assembled with a T-Shaft Jack? Please look at the pictures below. This is a "Kansas Built" Jack Assembly ![]() The shaft measures 36.5 inches ![]() Tire iron measures 18 inches ![]() ![]() Wing nut measures at 5 inches ![]() Hook measures at 6.5 inches ![]() Base ![]() Shaft was painted by someone, you can see the original Gold Zinc. ![]() Patent number. ![]() Dan

I will add that I have never seen a "T" type jack in a Kansas car but this does not mean than none came that way.
Here are some more photos of an unrestored original Kansas jack. Original hook. ![]() Original base next to an inventory base. Notice slight difference. ![]() Original mechanism. ![]() Original wing nut over an AMK repop. ![]() Comparison of masts all from 70 Chevelles. ![]() For color comparisons sake, here is the mast from a very low mileage 70 Malibu previously owned by Chad B. ![]()
