The water pump has original casting marks/lines and the paint was removed when the pad was cleaned up with a razor blade and some steel wool. The restorer had repainted the engine pad. This engine was to have never been taken apart?

To my untrained eye; the TT looks real, the engine assy date looks real, the vin stamp look suspect - especially the last 3 digits.

Pad looks good to me and the water pump comments from Stefano are accurate. I'd want to see the other side of the trim tag before making a call on that.
