Your Challenger wouldn't happen to be the car that came from Mexico would it? I remember a feature about a car that was found in Mexico years ago that had a factory T/A hood. As far as why the T/A hood was available, Chrysler didn't have enough parts for Shakers, so most of them went on 'Cudas. If you ordered a Hemi Challenger R/T, you got the standard rallye hood, whereas a Hemicuda got a Shaker. The T/A hoods were an option for those who wanted a fresh air hood. Shaker Challengers are rare, but non-T/As with glass T/A hoods are exceedingly rare. Sounds like a sweet ride!
