Re: the 1970 VOE GTO lives again!

Hi guys, 230 plus cars with this option is the number I see too.
It was an awesome option in my opinion. What is really cool is that in the closed mode, they flow about like a stock GTO muffler...

Re: What can Pypes do for you?

"I would love to know more about how this system was designed and built. How did someone in MO get involved with a PA outfit??"

Hi Marlin,
I will be glad to tell you.

We have tested...

Re: What can Pypes do for you?

Marlin,
I glad to see your Nova went so much faster with that system. When we did the original work on it a few years ago, I knew it would really let the cars breathe that previously only had a...

Re: Dick Harrell

Rob, like Typhoon said, I think it hooks very hard. Dad was clicking off 60 foot times the same at Topeka as he was at KCIR several years back. The wagon rips off 1.58 to 1.66, 60 foots on this...

Re: Dick Harrell

I'd like to add that I will search my old photos and as soon as I find one that matches the pose posted previously, I will swap it for the youtube video that is less than stellar in its resolution.

Re: Dick Harrell

This is a tacky, blatant attempt to show off Dad's car but look at the background at the end of the track. In fact, if you could see the high res version, you will see the same red and white painted...

Re: Dick Harrell

We did not have any cameras with us in those years. Mom had a Kodak Brownie but never carried it with us. That was too bad. We have few pictures of my Dad drag racing all through the 60s. On the...

Dick Harrell

I live in the KC area and grew up in Hickman Mills. We used to drive by Dick Harrell's shop on Hickman Mills Drive and look inside. Unless the recent HiWay 71 widening took it out, the building ought...

Dave, Joe, and Jeff,
I agree that of all the cool and unknown options, this has to be one of the neatest. I never saw or heard one of these cars back then and Dad never mentioned them either. He...

Re: 70 GTO VOE Mufflers

YDR, it is easy and takes $34 worth of parts. You wil have to make your own vacuum can out of a $1 can of juice. We have these on a 69 Cobra Jet Torino and a set will be on a truck, a 64 GTO, my...

Re: 70 GTO question

Official documents show 233 and there were also dealer installed units. I bet the total is less than 270 but that is my guess only.
They have a vacuum can between the manifold's vacuum source and...
