Re: Cowl induction seal
This is a very timely topic as I just installed a repo unit on my camino this weekend. What is the orientation for the flange on the air cleaner? I assumed the flat section of the flange was there to...

Rockenbach Chevrolet
I just received my document from NCRS for my 1971 ElCamino SS 454. I purchased the car in Phoenix in 1981, but it appears it was originally sold in Chicago at Rockenbach Chevrolet. Does anyone know...

Re: 69 CAMARO GROCERY GETTER
That car is pretty much exactly what I have been looking for. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a faux SS or Z/28. I'd walk by 10 rows of those just to see this one. An LS would be...

Re: Antron Brown's Top Fuel crash
I do know Richard Petty had a similar drag racing incident in '65 that killed a seven year old boy. It was probably one of the reasons he returned to NASCAR.

Re: 1971 LS6 Chevelle SS Production
The question I have had about my '71 for years is why would GM put a 6500 RPM redline tach in a hydraulic liftered car that could have been equipped with A/C (Mine does not have A/C). Wouldn't that...

Re: 1971 LS6 Chevelle SS Production

I believe that is the black Camino out of the Pat M collection in Phoenix. It was offered to me in about '01. Supposed to have original engine and docs. I've looked at the car but not the...

Re: 1971 LS6 Chevelle SS Production
My '71 Camino has a white faced 6500 RPM redline tach. I have owned the car since 1980 or so and I am confident it was never changed. So I know Chevrolet at least planned to put it into production.

Correct, but not original engine
My '71 SS454 ElCamino had its original engine swapped out before I bought it back in '82 for a 289 casting generic 454. It still has the original M22 and 12 bolt. I have located a correct coded 512...
