Future Value of SSR's?
 

Seeing as how the current base MSRP of $41,995 for an SSR is out of my reach, I was wondering what others feft the market will bear for these vehicles in 3-4 years as used cars? Can you possibly compare them to a C6 Corvette in terms of depreciation? My dad just recently sold his 55 Belair street rod and purchased a 1999 red Corvette convertable for $29,500. The corvette had every option except heads-up display and only 14,000 miles. This car listed new in the upper 50k if I recall.

I recall learning of the first SSR available to public sold on ebay for something like 169K, #2 of the signature series.

I just got rid of my 99 vette vert, sticker was $48k with a 6 spd, but without HUD. I am sure if they limit the SSR production, it will still depreciate but come back after it loses some of it's value. Much like new Vipers. JMO.

It seems like all the hype is being the first in your area to have one. So you can pay way above sticker for an SSR, then unload it for a big loss and get a new Ford GT for double the sticker! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/crazy.gif Honestly, I don't get the hype on a lot of these vehicles. The 93 Indy Pace Cars also were drawing $5-10K above sticker and today you would be lucky to get the sticker price for it.
