1968 Camaro Ex-ISCA Show Car

10 Attachment(s)
1968 Camaro, time capsule from the late 70's/early 80's. Mostly the same paint. Has a fresh small block with a 6-71 GMC blower, dual Holley Double Pumpers rebuilt by Eric Jackson for forced induction, new Hedman Headers, new aluminum radiator with dual electric fans (runs cool), Borg Warner Super T-10 4 speed, Hurst Indy shifter, new Phoenix dual friction clutch (~100 miles), and a 12 bolt rear end (unsure what gears).
Body is in great shape with the only rust being some small bubbles in the rear bottoms of the quarters, and some small bubbles under the vinyl top at the bottom near the trunk lid. I've never addressed them as they've not changed in the 9 years I've owned it. The inner rear quarters were filled and are in great shape still after all these years. The original cowl induction hood doesn't fit as it was cut for a tunnel ram and not the blower, but comes with the car. Interior is completely stock with vinyl factory seats, no console.
Car runs great and is a blast to drive. Attracts crazy attention wherever you take it.
Car is located in Naples, FL

Good looking camaro Mark.
You need to state a price when selling on here.

markinnaples 05-01-2025 06:14 PM

Thanks. I did put a price on it when I listed it, but it wasn't showing for some reason, so I updated it.

Xplantdad 05-01-2025 06:23 PM

Beautiful Camaro, Mark!

RPOLS3 05-01-2025 06:42 PM

Neat car - seems well priced too GLWS.

TimG 05-01-2025 07:09 PM

Holy cow, what a Camaro.........

LetsFNgo 05-01-2025 09:04 PM

Very cool. Good luck with the sale.

olredalert 05-01-2025 09:12 PM

----Wow! The paint job as pictured that goes thru out your Camaro is just amazing. Takes following thru with a dream to a new level. Priced right for someone who wants to be noticed and have a bunch of fun!....Bill S

BJCHEV396 05-02-2025 12:34 AM

Very nice Mark! GLWS!!

SupremeDeluxe 05-02-2025 01:01 AM

$35K is a rounding error these days. The guy who wants a stand-out cruise night car couldn't do any better than this. Drop the kids off at school and they will be noticed! Best of luck with the sale!

napa68 05-02-2025 01:14 AM

Right off the cover of Car Craft circa 1982. Seeing the car takes me back to the 7th grade lusting over cars in the magazines. At 35k this has to be a no brainer for someone around here.

I'm too busy right now beating on the Nova right now to even entertain this. Please, somebody buy this car!

dykstra 05-02-2025 10:42 AM

Agreed Tim! I love this this car and it won't last long. GLWTS. Super Cool!!

wayoutz 05-02-2025 11:05 AM

Really cool car for someone. 35K is a steal.

TimG 05-02-2025 12:05 PM

I agree with these comments. What a throwback car.

SS427 05-02-2025 01:25 PM

Sure brings back some memories! Very well priced and should not last long. $35k turnkey for a nostalgic street machine let alone a blown one is tough to beat.

Any interest yet ? TTT for the weekend.

markinnaples 05-03-2025 03:29 PM

Thanks for all of the great comments. I did have someone who used to be a member here who said he's interested, but you never know until the money is in your account. Appreciate everyone here, and let me know if you know anyone who may be interested, thanks again.

markinnaples 05-04-2025 06:34 PM

Chris69, please check the number in the first ad post in this thread. I've tried 5 times to send you a message to no avail.

jerry455 05-04-2025 07:38 PM

WOW!! I love the vintage pic with the Centerline Champ 500 wheels. Those were popular in early 80's and much more expensive than the standard Centerline Autodrag wheel. My buddy put a set on his brand-new '84 Hurst-Olds he bought right after High School in 1984. It looked bad-ass. GLWS-

Someone please buy this car so I can quit dreaming about it.

No shit......

You know, it's crazy these times we live in. I've had a few people interested, like hot texting me and requesting pictures and videos, and then poof! They're gone. Same as a trailer I was selling that was a very nice 18 footer that needed tires and new wiring and everyone in the world wants it, but for half of what I was selling it for. Finally let that go today at just a little more than half I started at. The world is whacked.
So, I think I may put it up on BAT as they got back to me with a reserve offer that I'm not thrilled about, but I think I can live with. Sigh.

Too Many Projects 05-06-2025 11:49 PM

Counter the offer with something that you feel is more fair to you and see what happens. They made contact and offered a reserve, stretch it a little.

Welcome to selling (and buying) stuff in the modern age.

Sadly, that's most people these days. The nature of text and email is that people like to waste your time then vanish, and think nothing of it. Wish I could be that way sometimes...

daverd 05-14-2025 06:48 PM

GLWS I wish I could swing it that care is an awesome time warp street machine!

markinnaples 05-16-2025 08:35 PM

Thanks again everyone. Well, I thought it was sold as the first guy who came to look at it said he wanted it but had to sleep on it. Pfffft, yeah, that never works out.

Too Many Projects 05-16-2025 11:30 PM

He had to go home and ask his wife...

SupremeDeluxe 05-17-2025 02:05 PM

Guy who comes to see a $35K car and then needs to "sleep on it" also has a $20 discretionary spend limit at Target and has to show his wife the receipt when he gets home.

I have always had success negotiating reserves with BaT. Slow play them awhile, then come back with a counter, they will negotiate. It's a unique car and the commentary will help the sale greatly on a car such as this. Nostalgia is a powerhouse influence on BaT (has anyone seen my Jeep?), and guys like us will be engaged in the thread. I don't see any way this car would pull less than low $30K range on BaT.

markinnaples 05-22-2025 05:39 PM

Well, it took a couple weeks, but I finally have a pending deal on the Camaro. Dropped the price a little, but I think it's a fair deal. Buyer put a deposit on it and is supposed to come next week. I appreciate all of the nice comments from some of the savviest people in the hobby, so thanks again and cheers.

Too Many Projects 05-22-2025 07:29 PM

Truly hope it comes thru for you and a couple weeks isn't a long time for a special car like that. Sorry you had to drop the price, for the right person, it should have been worth more than the initial ask, but such is life.

TimG 05-22-2025 10:40 PM

Congradulations, what a beautiful car.
