Z/28 Acquired
 

Congrats to Dave Beem,(Protree68),on finally getting ahold of this rare color combination Z/28.

"20 years of calling this man on the left gentleman,finally paid off yesterday.
It’s now mine.The only way you can get the white stripes on a red car is if you got the white vinyl top,and then add the fact that it has white houndstooth interior AND it’s a Z/28 too is pretty special."

Congrats! I got lucky and bought mine from the original owner after 3 years of calling.

I would assume the buyer is the one with the smile on his face and the seller has that "is this a good idea look" on his face...

Persistency does pay off, congrats.

That's interesting... In 68 the only way you got BLACK Z stripes on a red car was to get a vinyl top.

Mine had black stripes.... Lemans blue, black vinyl top, black stripes. Was considered a special paint option hence the code -2 on the data tag.

Can't get the video link to load. Nice car! 20 years and the owner finally caved! Must have been high on his list of bucket list cars to get. Now to put some miles on it! Was it driven much before?

Dave will be bringing this car to the Pavilions Car cruise on Indian Bend Rd. in Scottsdale this week.

Great car. Anybody notice the standard RF seat belt retractor on deluxe interior?

The standard belt was the default belt on both standard and custom (deluxe) interiors. The deluxe belt was a separate option that could be added to either standard or custom (deluxe) interior.
