Yellow and black are not correct for 69 BBC, not sure on the SB cars
Here is Gradys photo your referring to Phil.

Home made one I made, it looks shiny but it is just flat label paper.

Good stuff Mike.

Those were in fact the pictures I was thinking of. I'm sure few if any of these stickers stood the test of time. My 69 Malibu with 350 had the patch of glue on the back of the valve cover, but the paper was long gone.

Thanks for posting.

We took those shots in your driveway a few years back, that's my mug in the reflection and Grady was holding the tape.

In recent weeks I was able to contact and began a great relationship with Chevelle owner number 3.
It's always fun listening to the cars history and stories told by the previous owners.....as you can tell by these pictures that this was the fun 1980's era. SO COOL :-)

Love that 80s era pic! I can remember so many cars like that circa-1984! It's got it all... loud graphics, jacked up stance, gold Moroso valve covers, small 8" air cleaner, etc. That would have been quite the ride back in the day.

Check out the painted "Yellow" slots....I did the same to my Western Slots only in Green

Great pics.
Nice that the 3rd owner was willing to share them.

Dan,

I see IL plates on the car in the 80's pics. Was this car ever in the Chicago area? I had a friend back in 71-72 time frame that had a DY/BVT 69 L78 Chevelle. Needle in a haystack, but you never know.
