What year did Motion do the conversion? I may have an article on that car.

Joe, the magazine articles are already posted on the first page of this thread.

One is already posted, but maybe there was more than one feature on the car? By the way, after looking at this other article, since it's a Motion, maybe you could call it Passionate Persimmon instead or Hugger Orange.
This was previously posted, and it's not about this particular Camaro.

Belk, here are some pictures of the car as I looked at it in 1993 when Lee owned the car. These were taken at his Dad's house in North Georgia and the car at that time had not been moved since the mid seventies. The paint scheme it has is the one that Joel told me was "the ugliest paint schemes they had ever done." That coming from a man that had some weird off the wall stuff during the eighties: Motion Iroc and Monte SS come to mind. When I looked at the car there was a seperate invoice for the paint work and I believe it was around $600............RatPack............

I think that number is the amount of people on this site who have looked at the picture Dave.

Troy, As you can see in the magazine article it was painted white with owner's names/logo, which like Joel says was pretty ugly? But it wasn't painted by Motion from what I have. The set of 3 Motion Invoices total up to one combined total on the third page with no inclusion or price for any paint work. I assume an outside shop must have done full re-paints for Motion, or the customer shopped it out himself. That must explain why you saw a separate invoice.

When owners make color changes like the White, then Blue, and then this Black with red stripes, I don't consider that as any Historical value to what Motion did. It would be like an owner changing a 69 Yenko Camaro's color to Red and you wouldn't restore it as a Red Yenko as it has no Yenko historical value (plus Incorrect).

I like the front end paint combo with the SS and the scoop paint but that rear stripe would have been gone a long time ago. Guess thats why Chevy dropped it from their stripe options for having a rear stripe around the rear of the cars. But restoring it as a collector car I would have to keep the stripe in place. any of that make sence
