Re: M/T Super Scavenger headers
Jeff, Awesome Z car ! I was visiting Joe (A-1 Machine) as he 'worked' on the ZL1 & CAN-AM engines.
Fortunately ..mine was never in a NITRO FC.... Re: M/T Super Scavenger headers
I've been looking for a set of these for my 1969 Z/28 and haven't had any luck, so I ended up building my own. Quite an interesting experiment. Just fired it up a few weeks ago and haven't had a chance to shake down the car yet (too busy working).
They sound good with the 302 but are not as loud as I was hoping for at idle. FYI - I kept the stock chambered exhaust system so far but may eliminate the chambered sections behind the rear diff as my next experiment. Here's some pics of my adventure... Re: M/T Super Scavenger headers
Tom... what car is going to end up with the ZL1 (or is it in something already)?
Pretty cool piece of garage art! |
Re: M/T Super Scavenger headers
super nice fit on those fabbed headers....what brand did you start with?
John, the ZL 1 is in Canada....I sold it a few years ago to be put in some kind of super rare 69 Camaro. In those pics are actually 2 engines. My former Zl 1 & an ultra rare Can_Am that the shop built for a customer to place in an old Yenko car. |
