If it was me - I'd get a cowl hood and have it striped and painted at the same time, so if and when the mood strikes I'd always have a choice of how I wanted it to look!
I did this when I had my '68...

Numbers pretty match what my 302 put out on the dyno after rebuilding it back 25 years ago - except mine was .030" over and I had the off road cam in it and it pulled a fair amount less torque early...

Deck has been played with under the 'MO' section.. as already stated there is ghosting under some of the other numbers and the vin numbers especially the last one in the series isn't at all typical.....

For future reference - I have used Tal Strip...

For future reference - I have used Tal Strip aircraft paint stripper to take clear coat (hard to remove) from Aluminum wheels, intakes and such, and it always worked great on very difficult paints...
