Electric Pressure Washer...
Looking to purchase an electric pressure washer...one of Karen's Christmas gifts
She loves her lawn tractor but is not keen on cleaning...we have a gas powered washer, but it is a lot of extra work. I thought an electric unit would make things simpler and increase the cleaning activity Any suggestions for a quality model would be appreciated. -wilma

I had a Karcher for quite a while before it conked out. Currently have a 1600 psi Ryobi from HD for many years, works just fine. I have well water, so I cannot have too high input anyways.
Two issues: 1. After sitting all winter a small amount of water stays in the trigger and when frozen, breaks the plastic. Bought a new wand and store it in the basement in the winter instead of the shed. 2. Started not shutting off when you released the trigger, there is a small o-ring pressure sensor that gets gunk in it from sitting. I had to take it apart, clean and re-lube it. Then it works again.

I bought a Greenworks 1500/1.2 electric pressure washer to carry along on my son's motocross race weekends. Not a power house compared to my gas unit, but works great for finding the bike under layers of mud and prepping for the next moto. Been using it for two years without any issue or complaint.

I'm partial to Kärcher, take care of it and it will do the same for you. I bought a wand with a 90 degree bend and use it to give a quick spray under the cars during the Winter to keep the underneath clean.

Guys, what model Karcher do you suggestion? My dad has a gas powered unit we use for the heavy duty applications but I'd like one ideally to run a foam canon for washing the cars. Thanks!

Stihl RE110 electric pressure washer. Great unit. Full line of accessories available for it.
Can get it serviced at any Stihl dealership the same as the gasoline Stihl products. |
