VE Day...
Today...May 8th, 2024 marks the 79th anniversary of the end of the Second World war in Europe. America entered the war in late 1941 following the Pearl Harbor attack and Germany's declaration of war against the USA.
The sacrifices of our military in Europe were significant and are hardly remembered by many today. The celebrations on May 8th, 1945 were incredible and well deserved...unfortunately the Pacific theater of the war dragged on until August with heavy casualties. War is still with us today, so it is important we never forget those who served so many years ago to insure our freedom. Lest we forget  -wilma

Yes, thanks. I don't recall hearing anything on the news about honoring the soldiers who never came home. My wife has an Uncle who perished in a plane crash in England that was on a B24 crew.
