I finished cleaning the grease and oil off today and started scrapping the factory undercoating out of the right wheel well. I was being careful to only take the undercoating off and leave any evidence of blue and I stopped scrapping when I saw, what I at first thought was, bare metal and moved the scrapper to the next area. After a bit longer, my scrapper went thru this color and there is the blue primer ! I then saw where I had scrapped to bare metal a few years ago, when installing the trunk floor. I cleaned the edge of the primer with scotch brite to enhance the 3, distinct, colors of bare metal, blue primer and, what is now more evident, Gold overspray on top of that and the undercoating OVER all of that, just like it should be from the factory....
