Lakewood J Bolt Traction Bars
Hi guys. I recently picked up this set of J bolt traction bars. I bought them on eBay. I got a good deal on them and figured I'd buy them based on their condition alone. They're not like other Lakewood bars I own that use a triangular bracket on the bottom of the bar for the "Stirrup" to connect the J Bolt. These have a welded bracket which eliminates the "Stirrup".
The seller claims to have bought these in the early 70s and barely used them, recently bead blasted them, powder coated them, replated the hardeware, and added the stickers. They look a lot like new Competition Engineering bars powder coated yellow. Any thoughts as to what they may be? |

These are not Lakewood they are Competition Engineering bars. That is how they did their J bolts. I sent that guy a message on ebay and told him these were not Lakewood.

Here is a link to summit for the Competition Engineering, you could take the lakewood stickers off, and run them yellow.

Definitely CE2101 bars. I just did that to a used set I had that needed paint... Like mentioned, might not be Lakewood, but they do work. No more wheel hop.
