Great one of the Penn Central train on a transfer run coming off of the L&N Bridge into Newport Kentucky (with that 70 Chevy in the photo). That whole area is completly different (the bridge in the background is still there...no rail, no autos...foot traffic only).

I love this thread. I have been wanting to post some pictures but haven't made time. So far this is all I have.

This was my uncle's 1969 Torino GT. It had a 390 with a 4 speed. These were taken in 1971...I was 7 at the time. I remember him coming home on leave from the Air Force and picking me up (early in the morning), taking me to my other uncle's house out in the country. He would really rip through those country roads...90mph+.

The blinkers on the hood scoop were the coolest thing EVER!!
