Bought a new 67 SS396 in Clovis, NM -- I don't remember all the smog stuff on the engine though ... CA only?

Also - in the spirit of "hey - it's the same car":
These two Pontiacs are the same car. According to Pontiac enthusiast/GM Design Center retiree Jeff Denison: some time after the tire test GTO was retired from service it was returned to Michigan and restored, and now resides in the GM Heritage Center collection. I personally remember seeing this car sitting at the DPG during my temporary visits and subsequent years of working there. K

The Jensen T-37 was front-and-center of the Gilmore Muscle Car display, until it was displaced by this car:
(sorry Dan and Dennis!)

JMO but cars like that are part of the downfall of NASCAR. I enjoyed watching much more when cars were actually closer to a factory offering. That thing is as much of a Mustang as my 2002 Nissan XTerra is.
I get all the safety stuff; that is great for the sport but can't they at least make the cars resemble the model they're supposed to be? |
