My dads L34 Chevelle at Maple Grove. mid-late 70s.

So when the 455 came out with the MarkIV Ram Air, A beefed lower end, And a carter high riser set up, I was online! 390 HP. 500! Foot lbs of torque. Whatever that is.

I like the look of the "Tow Tabs" and that is what race cars had on them{note no pins}.

that 68 is awesome!! Is this AHRA sanctioned? i didnt think NHRA allowed scoops in super stock, but i thought maybe AHRA did

I think Pennfield was always an NHRA track, not 100% sure. It don't the rules were always followed if you know what I mean...

I never met the owner/driver of &quot;Hang em High&quot;, but he was involved with my Chevelle.

I drive across Pennfield Ridge half a dozen times every summer on the way up to PEI. Always look at that strip where they dry Sea kelp today and think &quot;what a wicked drag strip that would have been&quot;! Wished I'd been there back in the day but, then, I never would have gotten any further North (PE).

Do you live in Manchester Rick? I get down to NH 3 or 4 times a year, my brother lives in Fremont, and has a 68 SS396 Camaro, as well as a 69 Malibu that he runs at Epping. (Are you going to the New England Nationals this year?)
