Do I read that correctly, the Arlen Vanke Hemi Barracuda sold for $2,000,000? I can't find any other info to verify this. If it really sold for $2million, why isn't there more buzz about that?

"Sold" is a relative term. It ain't over till the money and title have exchanged hands. However, I was in the gallery (took the photos) when the auction for the Vanke car was "sold" to the high bidder at $2mil. Not sure why there is no big press on this car.

And if anyone knows the final bid on the orange 70 Chevelle LS6, please share it as well. No results yet on the R&S site. Thanks...

Did not get the final bid on the Carolina Blue Z, but as I recall the Monaco Orange LS6 was bid to $120 or so. Sign on car in corral was "reserve was $135K or $140" as I recall. I believe owner shld have taken this.

The 7o 442 W-30 sold for $135K plus buyers fee and went to a new home. Seller did not buy it back.

My recollection was that the high bid on the Carolina Blue Z was 100K with a reserve of 175K. The H-O LS6 had a high bid of 120K with a reduced reserve on Sunday of 128K. Both went through again on Sunday. Had to catch my flight so I don't know the finial out come.

Did nothing for me in person. I was intrigued when I saw the pix on the R & S web site. The NC blue LS6 from last year, althought not a perfect resto looked better than this. Love the history and docs, but sometimes that is not enough. Not my cup of tea either.
