They pulled all the RS stuff back then. They even filled in the lower pan where the back up lights were. He tolded me at one time they pulled the door glass and window vents out and replaced the glass with 68 glass.

Probably took all of an hour to strip out !

I honestly don't know if I would restore the car as it was raced(since most of it's life has been in that configuration) or restore it back to the way it was coming off the showroom floor. And that car has had a lot of changes made to it which is pretty cool to see the history as the car was transformed to race in specific classes. Keep us updated as you make progress and post any vintage pictures if you're lucky enough to find some from the previous owner.

I can see it now...

Deepwater Blue, black vinyl top. Disc brakes? Then a set of DG wheels and '67 caps. Drums? Then a set of FC steel wheels with dog dish caps or maybe N96 mag wheelcovers. D70 redlines were the stock size but F's fill out the wheelwells better. Please, please don't put spoilers on it (sorry Budnate). White bumblebee stripe and body side pinstripes. Blue Deluxe interior. 427 cross-flags on the fenders. Stinger hood? Midyear Corvette sidepipes were a '67 Yenko option, right? Do it!

I like this car more and more.
