Yes Chuck, the Deuces have the two wire sending unit in the left head that feeds the light and the TCS. If Yenko installed gauges into the Deuce, he would put the gauge temp sending unit in the right side head. I don't know if it was chance or if he realized the he shouldn't remove the original sending unit per the TCS situation. Either way, that's where it went.

Hello everyone!! I'm Jack Seymour These are my cars Chuck is refering to, This is a Great topic and having a unmolested 70Z I hope I have a few thing to contribute.
First you are right my Green car does have repo heat shields something I plan on working on!!
On the other hand my Orange car is all original and a blast just to look at and see just how things were done at the factory like it or not.
Not sure where to start but I think from the posts you know a lot about my car, As for the shielding in the distributor mine also has it, as for the head marking mine has the X's on the driverside head and O's on the passenger side. Mine also doesn't have the rear engine lift hook but the shouldered bolt is there so for some reason the factory must of removed it.
I could go on and on and on, I be watching and putting my two cents in also.

Thanks, Jack

You know whats really funny, Jack Seymour just joined as a newbie, and he had no trouble posting a picture, unlike chuck who struggled for days. (lol)Nice car Jack!

Jack,

Welcome! Please never restore it! Looking at your engine compartment will assist lots of folks in proper restoration of Norwood built 70 Z-28's.

Now for a little quiz... Anyone know why the 70'Z-28's always quickly got surface rust on the tops of the fan shroud cover?? Hint -- I had to figure out how to solve this problem after I restored mine to keep it show ready.

Phil
