Thanks for that info Kurt! I always wondered how many might have been produced.

Default 4p l78

there was what we felt like a real one on ebay a number of years ago. It was in NJ so Phil Bate and I took a ride over to check it out. It had all the signs of being a 4p l78. I think it was early an april car and had all the big block heater core and frame mounts with the 4p code. I think it was black. He may have put it in his reg. as a possible car. I will have to find out

... My car was put in the garage around 2008 and the owner started to Mini Tub the rear wheel wells to accommodate a wider tire and rim ... but he never completed it.

... The work was not real clean and I want to have it redone.
... Should I put it back with "Stock" wheel tubs
... or put mini tubs to accommodate the wider tires and wheels like he was trying to do ?
...
... All his races were done with "Stock" wheel tubs.
... I appreciate ALL input.

If the work was already done to your satisfaction, then I'd leave it, but since it needs work no question return the wheel tubs to stock configuration.

I love drag racing but I'd put a car like that back to stock tubs.
