Yet another update for you guys who are sick of watching football.
The engine was off to the machine shop this week. It needed to go 30 over. He also align honed it. It's getting a new steel crank, dimple rods, forged domed pistons. New valves, springs, retainers, etc. All the machine work is done, and should be all assembled by the end of the week. Here's a shot before honing.

Here's a shot of the pistons. I understand they go into the holes of that thing in the picture above.

OK.. It's been 5 weeks since the last project update. I thought I'd take a picture before the chassis is put away, for now. The motor and trans are both assembled and back on the chassis.
Fuel pump, alt, water pump, pulleys, exhaust, etc are installed. Still need the smog and carb, but I'm in no hurry. Just a matter of buying them and a couple hrs to install. I have an nos quarter and door skin to begin the body work. Here's a shot of the chassis as of today.

Jim...It should be ready in plenty of time for Chevellabration in June. The feature car this year is 68-72 ElCamino, so I will be bringing the finished chassis down instead of a Chevelle this year.
