Looks like the carb had that funky shooter into the secondaries - common for the period eh? I see them in the old mag articles about Dana, Motion, etc...

WOW! I'm off line for a couple of days and look at what I've missed!

Congratulations Steve and Jeff. Great find!

Good to know it will be in the hands of the "Best in the Hobby" ;...... both owner and resto shop! Hope you can save most of those 'Day 2' pieces; that's what makes these finds all the sweeter!!!!!

Nice Work Jeff & Steve. Can't wait to see another SCW masterpiece.

------What a story!!! To top it off the parts sellers are not going to make much off the restoration. There dont appear to be any parts missing at all. Long time owner looks like a good guy. Bet he will be making a few trips to the 48 for various shows. Be neat to see him make a pass in his car once or twice.........Bill S

Compared to that other carport LS6,it's remarkably solid for having been(relatively)exposed to the elements since the Nixon admin..still wearing it's black plates too!

SS mentions that in his original post, an April '69 conversion.

[ QUOTE ]
.....Included in the paperwork that Bert got when he bought the car was a 2-page detailed Dana Chevrolet work order/invoice that listed all the conversion parts and labor done to the car in April, 1969....
