SEMA this year was a success for MOTION. We got to meet many members from the site here and everyone had a great time at Steve Sandlens party! Charlie was there checking out the car and taking pictures of it for all of us to see (thanks charlie!) We also recieved the top award from GM
for the supercoupe.
Lots of interest for both the supercoupe and the Phase III camaros. We hope you all liked the car and you will be seeing much more from motion in the next couple months.
thanks guys !!! steve

I can't help but think how boring this car would be w/o a gas pedal:

I know, I know...they were still thrashing to get it done but it cracked me up a bit.

Do you think the new owner is even going to drive it anyway?;the gas pedal might not be necessary. As nice a car as it is I was hoping that Joel would have built something more driveable and less of a show piece.

The thing that bugs me most is that it almost seems this car is the Sony display whore..... Since when was a Baldwin/Motion car on display featuring it's stereo equipment?... There's hardly an angle shown in the pics where you don't see "X-plod" in some way... not to mention it's in the Sony display. .. Back in the day at the New York Auto Shows the Baldwin/Motion cars on display were about the CARS... and if they even had stereos..they weren't mentioned..

So why does this new "Baldwin Motion" Camaro have 'Sony' tatooed all over it? Would there even be a "Baldwin Motion Camaro" being built today if it weren't for the "Sony Publicity Fund" going into the car? Seems a bit bass-akward to me... Don't get me wrong. It's a great car and alot of work has been well done... But like many others that have commented.. the wheel selection doesn't work for me either.. Smaller diameter rims with thicker sidewall tires would do wonders for that cars image.. Put some wrinkle walls on 10x15 Slots on the back of that thing for christ sake...

btw... I hate the interior.. That dash/console look just don't work...

and that shifter boot....

Ed, I sense that you're holding back. Open up and tell us what you really want to say.

I agree, 15x10 slots with N50 meats would do wonders for this car. I think the problem is that we all have a pre-conceived notion of what a Motion car is supposed to look like and this car isn't exactly it. But this car is what Mr. Rosen has to build nowadays to really set the crowd on its collective ear. Remember, Motion cars were way over the top in the late '60s and this red car is way over the top by today's standards. I'm not that turned-on by this new car but I think it's great that Mr. Rosen and Mr. Schorr have gotten back together to make another splash in the Supercar game. (I hope Mr. Rosen makes some money on this latest foray.) As for Sony, coporate sponsorship is another aspect of the modern day. Car stereos have made quantum leaps since 1970 and they're a mandatory part of any high-visibility build nowadays. If I were Mr. Rosen I'd welcome any help I could get, especially from a big copropration like Sony. No, it's not about thumping bass and vibrating door and trunk panels, it's about thumping CAMS. But again, they need the Sony bucks to help get this venture off the ground.

$427K? Wow. I'll bet we won't see any on Power Tour.
