Nah, the yellow deuce has been on EBaY 2-3 times, but the seller thinks it's worth a lot more than the potential buyers. It's still there, on his front lawn, just getting worse.

The L79 Nova is indeed the lemonwood yellow car. Brian Stefina walked by our table that night at the hotel and asked Neal if he was the owner of "the pro-stock, I mean, stock, L79 Nova" Of course, we all rolled over laughing! I think the organizers politely asked Neal that if he were to return with the L79 that it be made more 'stock'.

This is going back at least 15 years so I may not have the details right.......

I live in SE PA and would see a Yenko Nova near Maple Grove Raceway sitting in the yard/driveway. When I say near there I mean within 20 mile radius. It was yellow with the black stripes. I knew it was special but did not have any money so I never asked about it or stopped to look at it.

Is anyone familiar with this car?

Ramo's cousin Robert Bennett was married to my mom's sister. So, it is like old home week! There was also a very cool unrestored Ernie Derr Charger at that show as well. Complete with the cracked windshield from the Darlington 500. Pretty cool stuff really!

Chris good to hear from you! Do you know the best time that my Deuce ran with dad behind the wheel? I keep hearing different stories. I have other questions that I would like to ask you off line. Shoot me a PM with your e-mail addy or a phone number I can reach you at.

I don't think he would let Joe and Erik anywhere near it! There have been some famous quotes to arise from their visit to the shop

Heck, I was wondering for a few minutes if i was even going to get a look at the car i was buying ... j/k I was amazed when that door opened up and there sat 2 Yenko Deuces in about the least likely location you'd ever expect to find them... it was about 5 degrees that morning, and i had just spent about 7 hours driving through white-out conditions... I thought i might be seeing a mirage! That was just about a year ago to the day! Welcome to the site Chris... I wish i DID get a chance to see that orange car... -JB

I could tell you guys plenty of stories. As far as how fast the red car went. At NY international on a cool late aug. evening it ran 13.38 at 108mph. Car was jetted perfect.
108 oct. fuel, the car had been running consistant 13.5's all night. ended up breaking out on that run. dad had a .503 light which wasn't unusual for him. I think i still have the slip somewhere. It might even be in the glove box of the car. not sure. If I remember correctly we went to michigan 2 weeks later and didn't run any faster than a high 13.6 and that was the evening prior to the main event.

The deuce by maple grove is/was a clone, I spoke to the owners. It was actually created by a father/son team in Ephrata, PA at Twin Pines Motors used car dealership as a fun project. To my knowledge, the car was sold, and I lost track of it.
