Ahhh..I see what you are talking about. Not the top Valve Cover clip I was referring to at all.
But that rare TCS clip looks very similar to the 1970 RPO CD-2 Fiber optic washer Jar Monitor clip used under the Dash to secure the fiber optic line.
I have one here,& can post a picture of it,if I can find it.

mr70- I checked and the fuel line bracket has no part number, but it does say Stamp Rite on it. I am going to forward more pictures to Greg, hopefully he will add them.
Mike.

CamarosRus, Correct me if i am wrong but, in the picture you posted of Jack,s LT1, shouldn,t the spark plug heat shields have the half moon cutouts?
My 6,000 mile CTB engine has those half moon type, same as my 69 Z28.
Just wondering, not being critical.

That clip looks very similar to the ones used in many places on GM cars. One such place that comes to mind are the horn wire clips on a 70 Chevelle as well as the rear light harness clip used to attach the harness to the upper rear quarter area. I will have to pull on to confirm but I think they are the same.

Regarding the half moon cutouts on shields.....I just looked at an ORIGINAL set of four and I totally agrree with you. I'm thinking that Jack's Green restored engine in picture is using repop shields. This will be another judging point to start using......
Regarding the "rare" TCS clip, there are MANY of us 70 Z-28 owners that hope someone can discover THIS clip easily available in another G.M. application. WE are also looking for the clips that go over rear edge of 70 L-78/LS-6 RARE Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner. These clips support the PVC hose from Left valve cover to right side of carb.....
The afore mentioned Jack S is the same person who repopped the 70+ Camaro transverse muffler and tailpipe hangars. These are NOW included with Gardners systems. Jack reports that finding a vendor to repop these misc spring clips is expensive and difficult. Anybody have an idea ???
Thanks, Chuck

Chuck,
I think it was you and I talking at SCR7 under the hood of my Deuce regarding the temp sending unit. The deuces have the two wire sending unit on the left head, not the right, but I believe it's the same unit. One wire for the warning light, the other for the TCS system.

This was probably the first difference we found between the Z28 vs. the Yenko applications for the CTB/CTC engines. We believe the reason is due to the wire harness of the different bodies, as the Nova SB V8 harness always has the temp wire on the left side fender well.

This 6k engine is excellent reference material! It has answered a lot of questions, and created new ones.

Marlin, The Z-28 and other Camaros with TCS have 1) Single wire sender in Left Head feeding gauge panel water temp gauge 2) Two wire sender in right head from TCS water temp sender to ???? ....... I really dont know the electrical schematic.....but are you suggesting that a DUECE left head sending unit operates the dash gauge and TCS function ??? if so why would not the Camaro have had same ?? Oh well, that's the way it was......so no matter.....regards, Chuck

I checked out my Wallace car and it does not have a shield in the distributor.
