I noticed some of the deragtory coments on the board the link took me to. I would like to say this in their defence. I had the pleasure to chat with Jimi Day at Tulsa. He is the Director of sales and marketing. He told me that the car is not finished. The headlights were missing the suround panels that belong around them. Said they just couldn't get them finished in time. He said that they really make a difference when they were in place. I am anxious to see what it looks like with them on the car.

The lower rear fenders behind the wheel openings are also missing a ground effects panel like what is under the doors that he said would make it look better when finally installed.

They did one hell of a job considering it just takes time to do things right and this car looks RIGHT to me.

I hate to see harsh words about the car till the last parts are finished. There were so many people around it that I could not get a pic of it and later when I came back from dinner I didn't have my camera with me.

I for one am courious to see what it looks like with the lights finished and the hood closed. The drawing sure looks neat.

Bill---Thanks for the photo
Belair---See if Rob can get you a SYC PRESS ID.
About the comments about the chevelle , there will always be armchair quarter backs who know all the answers and who can do it better,--but you have to have someone with a vision/idea who is willing to put their ideas on the line first so those armchair quarter backs can tell him what is wrong---Is this the final design and is GM going to bring this or something back to compete with the NEW Mustang----

I was able to look at this HRSS454 at Arlington yesterday, and I was drooling over it the whole time.
Everything about it exceeded my expectations.
I give a Big to the Aloha Team,as well as Steve S. & HotRod for making this Vision become a reality.

Here's my synopsis of some of the comments...

I'm guessing most, if not all, of the negative comments are coming from people who have simply seen a few pictures on the net. Like most cars, you can't appreciate them until you actually SEE them. Like the subtleness of the Mule...then you see all the turbo plumbing! Sometimes you simply can't understand until you've seen them in person.

I had a red/black LS-6 coupe not too long ago, and it was wierd how certain angles and details reminded me of my '70...it was hard for me to grasp that an '04 could capture the nuances of the '70 until I saw the car in person, so I understand some of the comments. It really is a cool piece, even thought it lacks some finishing touches. But, if you don't believe me, just ask the mobs of people that were on this car like white on rice the entire duration of the PT...

Just one of the ultra-cool cars from the PT I'd gladly park in my garage. Like the Mule...or the Twister...or the Cammer Ford Clill pointed out...or Barry Grant's Chevy II...SHWING!
