Toner,
The '63 model of "that" car you photographed is parked right behind the '62 in your photo. It's the Ol' Reliable IV '63 Z-11, now owned by Don Fezell. Verne |

Verne, I didn't make the show, I linked to the picture that SupercarKid posted. Been watching tapes of the 59 and 63 nationals and remember seeing the 62 Old Reliable II posted here. Also watching Gasser Wars from the early 60s', too cool.

How do I make some York show pics smaller so I can attach them?

M:
You need an editing program. I've got Adobe Photoshop 5.0 which is good, and has a LOT of features, but I still use the old Paint Shop Pro v3 more than anything. Do you have a program already, or need one? |

My Dummies' Guide to Resizing Digital Camera Photos for Posting on the Web:
STEP 1: Copy the photo from your camera to your computer. Double-click the filename to open your photo editor. STEP 2: Find the menu command to RESIZE the photo. Change the picture's width to, say, 800 pixels. Don't worry about height. STEP 3: Find the "Save As..." command under the File menu. There should be a compression setting there--pick HIGH compression for smallest file or MEDIUM compression for better picture quality. Press Enter to save the file under a new name (preferred), or the same name as before. The file you created in Step 3 is the one you want to post on a website or email to others. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: - RESIZE THE PICTURE TO NO MORE THAN 800 PIXELS WIDE - "SAVE AS" A NEW FILE, USING MEDIUM TO HIGH COMPRESSION - SHARE THE NEW FILE WITH OTHERS If you follow these instructions, a typical 360K digital photo will shrink down to 30-50K (depending on compression you pick) with no appreciable degradation in picture quality. That's a 90% savings. Whoopee! |

Hmmm... what if the pictures were regular stills that I scanned in as JPEG's?

Same procedure. Double click to open, set desired width, save with compression.
