Marlin ....we do a lot of clay bird shooting here in Columbus and we also do a lot of pheasant hunting as well.... There is nothing better than the smell of gunpowder and lead unless it is 110 leaded fuel

ONE OF THE BEST...
IMHO the first 50 Yenko's - X66 Coded are the most desirable of the 69's - they are the only COPO's with black tail pans from the factory plus they all have taillights with trim and quarter gill trim.

Rick Barratt the original owner of Doug's Olympic Gold Yenko Camaro just passed away on Dec 5, 2019. We have been in contact with Rick's family before he passed about acquiring anything related to the car. Rick's daughter claimed that her dad was a pack rat and never threw anything away especially items related to his cars. Once some time passes we will reach out again to see what his family has found.

Great car, great thread. I grew up on the southside of Indy and lived about a mile from Nankivell. Dad was a car enthusiast so we were there a lot for parts and to look at new cars. We both recall the orange 69 ZL1 they had but I don't remember or never saw this one.
In 1975 Dad bought a new Cosworth Vega from them that is still in the family with my brother Ted, so this is really cool to see all the memorabilia and pics. Nankivell badge on rear, pic from '78.

When I was looking at my fist car in '75, I was 15, one of the salesmen there, Rick Newkirk, had a green 70 Yenko Deuce for sale. Personally I think, not from the dealership. We went to his house in Greenwood to look at it but $1200 was way more than my paper route could support, and Dad was not wavering on our deal. So we passed on the Yenko and I got a 67 Camaro for $250. Probably why I'm still alive today....

Here is a pic of the dealer badge. Ted just went out and checked the Vega and the badge had come off over the years but was still in it.
