Maybe not any KID, but there are plenty of old Stock, Super/Stock guys that will tell you the same thing!!!! A certain old SS guy who was also nation F/C champ told me this with my '69 Nova. BUT they just need to be installed correctly. But with today's technology, we have got away from that and are using leaf spring "sliders" and roller bearing to achieve the very same thing the shackles did..

Cool Kurt. Looks like you snagged a YC-310-HP.

It has a number 24100V cast on the shaft and it's a dual point.

Yep - that would be a correct number for a 310. These have an SB/BB application and were used on numerous BM conversions.

Summit has Coker Pro Trac N50's for sale, and I was wondering if anyone on here has had any experience with them? I was considering getting a set for a stock rear end '68 Camaro that's raised in the rear some but wasn't sure what size/offset rim I'd need to get to ensure they don't rub.

Any thoughts/info you all can provide is appreciated, thanks.

Those will never stick under stock fenders no matter the wheel offset..figure on adding either rearched springs, air shocks or shackles.

A Cool. "HOT". trick on. first gen Camaros to raise the rear a bit is:
Use Nova/Buick/olds Front Spring Boxes.....
they look identical to Camaro, except the Spring Bolt is Lower on the boxes/ perches.
by about 5/8-3/4 inch.
additionally,,.. using modified stock shackles (lengthened) or shortening aftermarket ones, you can 'disguise' the C/L height..

no need for re arching springs or using those gawd awful replacements......
