I realize that from just looking at pictures it is easy for these "is it correct" questions to keep popping up, and causing the yes it is, no it's not arguments that lead to hurt feelings. I have been reading these threads for the past 5 years, and I know people that have left this board because of it. Sad loss in all cases.
Here is what I have done to stop the nit-picking thing about my car. For the first few years that had the car, I would show it in the "do not judge" class. However, if I went to a car show like this one, I got real tired of people offering me the same observations about what was incorrect with my car. Hard to believe that people can be even more rude in person than on a board like this.
My solution was this:

Here is picture of my 70 L-78 tailpanel with survivor paint.
Hard to tell in pic but black has significant gloss; much more than Gold Camaro above.

OK, first off; I'm not defending John's car. Quite honestly, I don't care about this subject either way. What I AM saying here is; the tail panel of John's car IS NOT FLAT BLACK! I could apologize for how the photo appears.....or I could drive to Colorado and try to get a better shot.......... but I won't. It really doesn't matter.
Larry, John and I chatted about the finish and, in my humble opinion, agreed that it is 'close to correct'. I could best describe the finish on this particular car as looking like old Dupont 99L Lucite straight out of the gun; no clear, no rubbing, no polish, no nuthin! If any of you are old enough to recall what that looks like, you can relate. If not,...............

Geez, I'm sorry I started this. How 'bout y'all just chip in and buy me a new camera?

Just for the sake of changing the subject. John's car was built the same month/week as mine. 100 VIN #s off from mine. I thought that was cool.
